Our Story

More than a decade ago, 28SPIN began with two siblings who simply loved yo-yo.
Back then, professional-grade yo-yos were hard to find in Malaysia, and there wasn't really a local store to turn to. So we started one.
What began as a passion became Malaysia's first yo-yo store. It took us further than we imagined — including becoming the first Malaysians to compete at the World Yo-Yo Contest, in Orlando, 2012.
But what we remember most isn't the milestones. It's everything that came with them — the friends we made, the places we travelled, the lives we shared around a yo-yo.
Eventually, life took us in different directions. We stepped away, passed 28SPIN on, and in time, the store went quiet too.
We never really wanted to leave the scene behind, though. Over the years, friends and familiar faces would ask if 28SPIN would ever return. Then came more conversations, more reasons to pick up a yo-yo again — and eventually, a return to the World Yo-Yo Contest, this time in Himeji, 2026.
Somewhere along the way, it felt like the right time to bring 28SPIN back.
A lot has changed. The reason we're here hasn't.
We still love yo-yo. We still love everything around it. And there's more we want to do with 28SPIN than just be a store.
This time, we're building it around the yo-yos that actually mean something — the ones champions have thrown, competed with, and won with. Because if we're going to do this again, we want to do it right.
Whether you've been here since the beginning, or you're picking up a yo-yo for the first time — you're invited.
